Tom Jacobs is the president and CEO of Jacobs Financial Services LLC. He has over 25 years of experience in the insurance and financial industry. He believes the best approach when working with clients is to be straightforward, direct and crystal clear about retirement income strategies.
Tom holds an associate degree in communication and received his bachelor’s from Ferris State University.
He is the proud father of two daughters. He enjoys fishing, boating, and golfing.
Brian Wassilak is an Insurance Producer specializing in retirement planning for Jacobs Financial Services LLC. Brian is passionate about helping clients navigate their retirement journey and developing plans for a safe and enjoyable retirement.
Brian is a graduate of Michigan State University with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Spanish. Brian is also licensed in Michigan and Ohio as a Life, Accident and Health Producer. Outside of the office, he enjoys spending time with his dogs Winnie and Aurora, and spending time with his family. He also enjoys playing guitar and golf, in his free time.
Mike Bouma is an Insurance Producer specializing in retirement planning for Jacobs Financial Services LLC. Mike’s passion for helping clients develop a plan to achieve a confident and simple retirement is evident in his career in the insurance and financial services industry spanning more than two decades.
Mike holds his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Eastern Michigan University and is a licensed insurance producer in Michigan. He has been married to his wife, Beth, for over 28 years and is the proud father of four fantastic children. When he is not working, he can usually be spotted in the stands cheering on his children’s sports teams.
Elise Marvin Monroe is an Insurance Producer specializing in retirement planning for Jacobs Financial Services LLC. Elise’s mission is to help clients navigate through the process of retirement planning by developing simple and impactful plans that help clients achieve their retirement goals and gives them peace of mind.
Elise is a graduate of Michigan State University with a bachelor’s degree in English and Philosophy. She has 20 years of experience in sales and marketing. She holds her life insurance license in the state of Michigan. Elise loves to be outdoors and enjoys hiking, camping, boating, grilling and walks in the park.
Scott Bates is a seasoned insurance and financial services professional with over 20 years of experience helping individuals, families, and businesses achieve financial security and peace of mind. Specializing in life insurance, as well as comprehensive financial planning strategies, Scott has built a reputation for delivering personalized solutions that meet the needs of each client.
With a deep understanding of risk management, retirement planning, and tax strategies, Scott works closely with clients to develop strategies that protect their assets and minimize tax implications.
Scott holds a bachelor’s degree from Aquinas College and a master’s degree from Western Michigan University. Scott is licensed with the State of Michigan in Property & Casualty, Life, Annuity, and Health/Accident and was formerly Series 6 & 63 Licensed.
When not assisting clients, Scott enjoys spending time with friends & family, especially his two boys watching them compete in their respective sports, golfing, reading, coaching youth baseball and almost any type of physical activity.
Dominik “Dom” Molotky is a licensed Insurance Professional specializing in retirement planning for Jacobs Financial Services LLC. He focuses on helping clients understand their options and make confident retirement decisions by breaking down complex financial data into practical, easy-to-understand guidance.
Dom is a graduate of Michigan State University with a bachelor’s degree in Economics and a minor in Data Analytics. He was a former lacrosse player at Ithaca College in New York. In his free time, he enjoys being outdoors by the water, playing and coaching lacrosse, golfing, and creating digital artwork.
Austin Bouma is a licensed Insurance Producer and retirement financial professional with experience across multiple industries over the past eight years.
Austin specializes in retirement planning and is passionate about helping clients navigate their retirement journey with clarity and confidence. In his free time, you can find Austin on the golf course, on the softball field, or spending time with friends and family.
Lynzie is the Event Director. She plans and executes all our dinner events, including client events. Her attention to detail and energy provides an exceptional customer experience. Lynzie has over 7 years of sales/management experience in the hospitality industry. She graduated from Grand Valley State University with a bachelor’s degree in Marketing as well as Hospitality & Tourism Management. Lynzie enjoys camping, hiking, golfing, and any adventure with her Golden Retriever, Tucker.
Angela graduated from GVSU with a bachelor’s degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management and has over 15 years of experience in event sales and coordination. She and her husband Adam have been married 15 years and have 2 young boys. When not working, Angela can be found at any of her boys’ games cheering them on. She prides herself on her self-awarded title of World’s Best Snack Mom.
Avery is a graduate of Grand Valley State University with a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality and Tourism Management. With two years of hands-on experience as an Events and Operations Intern at Jacobs Financial, she excels at turning ideas into successful experiences. Her attention to detail and strong organizational skills enable her to plan and execute events seamlessly. Outside of the office, Avery enjoys spending time with friends and family, traveling, and reading.
Katy Payne is responsible for providing excellent customer service to new and existing clients as they start and continue their retirement journey. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Grand Valley State University in Psychology and Sociology. She has over 7 years of Customer Service and Data Management experience in the Non-Profit sector. Katy enjoys horseback riding, reading, cooking, and spending time by the water.
Mylan is the New Business Assistant for Jacobs Financial Services LLC. She is responsible for providing new and existing clients with the best experience possible as they start and continue their retirement journeys. Mylan graduated from Grand Valley State University with a bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management and a minor in Healthcare Information Systems. She has over 8 years of experience in customer service and is passionate about helping clients. When she’s not in the office, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, traveling, reading, and golfing.
Amber thrives on empowering her team to achieve and crush their goals. She implements policies to promote company culture and oversee general operations. She started at Jacobs Financial Services in 2017 as the Director of First Impressions.
Amber earned her undergraduate degree at Grand Valley State University and completed her MBA at the University of Arizona Global Campus. She has more than ten years of management experience in the hospitality industry, including events, restaurants, and retail.
If she’s not at the office, you can find her at the horse barn. She also enjoys fishing and hunting with her dad, traveling, biking, and cooking.
Katie is the Operations Assistant at Jacobs Financial Services LLC, with five years of management experience spanning hospitality and non-profit sectors. She is passionate about driving operational efficiency while fostering a collaborative, positive workplace culture. Known for her strong leadership and dedication to team success, Katie is committed to empowering those around her and cultivating an environment where everyone can thrive.
Katie enjoys spending time with her husband, John, and their two dogs outside of work, especially during the summer months when she loves being outdoors.
Lisa McCaffrey is the Office Manager. She ensures that the team has everything they need to help their clients meet their retirement goals. Lisa is a graduate of Hope College and Michigan State University with degrees in Social Work. She has over 15 years of experience as an office manager in a financial setting. Lisa has been married to her husband Kevin for over 20 years. She loves the outdoors and enjoys bike riding, boating, trips to the beach, and playing music. She is also a member of the Grand Rapids Symphonic Band.
Allison is the administrative and event assistant at Jacobs Financial Services. Allison graduated from Central Michigan University with a bachelor’s degree in Public Relations and Event Management. She has over 10 years of customer service experience. When she is not working, Allison enjoys going to concerts, hiking, and saying “hello” to every dog she encounters.
